Smith Dollar recently represented a retired Sonoma County bicyclist who suffered a fractured femur requiring a hip replacement after a dog attacked him and caused him to crash and be injured during a recreational ride in rural Sonoma County. The dog was loose in violation of County Ordinance and the case resulted in a $500,000.00 settlement (policy limit) of the dog owner’s insurance.
