Melanie Keil started her journey in the healthcare field 25 years ago. While she initially wanted to become a pediatrician, she quickly changed course after working for a group of physicians in the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. It became evident very quickly that her passion was ensuring physicians succeeded in an ever-changing environment-specifically in private independent practice. Melanie went into Veterinary Medicine while working on her MBA at Our Lady of the Lake University. While working for one of the largest private corporate groups at the time, her position grew from Hospital Manager to Manager of Regional Operations where she oversaw 53 clinics in the Southwest Division.

This role and integral mentorship shaped her to open Principled Medical Management DBA Friction Pathfinders. Melanie has made it her primary goal to help private independent veterinary practices thrive in a heavily corporatized industry. Melanie has used her prior corporate knowledge to leverage independent practices to stay independent. Most importantly she wants Veterinarians to know there is a management team they can count on for all the administrative headaches who will keep their practice moving administratively. Our goal at Friction Pathfinders is to streamline administrative burdens, provide financial relief, strategic planning and executive management to ensure the longevity of the practice you have built.
